Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Brian got married last weekend! We went up to Jacksonville for the wedding festivities. On Friday there was a dinner party that we all enjoyed, but it was waaaaaay past our bedtimes. And on Saturday we got all gussied up for the wedding itself. Don't we look nice?
But then Mami's battery died so we have no more pictures of the weekend. I hope someone else does!
At any rate, congratulations Liz and Brian, and thank you for letting us be there to share your special day!
A package arrived in the mail last week and it had OUR NAMES on it! Turns out, it was a present from Nana, well, two presents really, one for each of us. They were adorable matching outfits. Don't we look great? They are particularly suited for dancing and jumping, so they're prefect for us. Thank you, Nana!
So the Gators won their opening game last night - big time - so all our chomping was for a good result. I did a little more chomping today, of a different kind: I discovered how much I like and can really get in to corn on the cob!
Mami and Daddy got a nice bike rack for our new car, so Mami could carry her bike around without getting the inside of the car dirty. We thought riding a bike sounded like fun. What do you think, are we future Lance Armstrongs?
It's that time of year again, Gator football is about to start! Our first game is tomorrow so we're getting ready by wearing our gator gear to school today. And we're practicing our chompin'! We're hoping for a big victory tomorrow. GO GATORS!
I love pasta. We usually have ziti or rotini or something in small pieces, but for some reason Mami got daring the other day and tried some angel hair pasta. WHAT. A. MESS> I was trhilled, but Mami and Daddy were not happy about that clean up!
This past week has been a busy one. Resli and I started our new school. We were both apprehensive at first, but we did great this week and we really liked it. AND, on top of that, we got a new car! It's a Subaru Forester and we fit inside just perfectly.
I dont' seem to be bothered by the changes at all, I have maintained my happy (sometimes crazy, sometimes fussy) persona through it all!
We keep growing so fast that our PJs don't fit us anymore. Mami went to get Resli some (I wear her hand-me-downs mostly), but they were BOGO, so we each got a set. Mine have Minnie Mouse on them and Resli's have Tinkerbell. We were both really excited about them. And yes, that means there was dancing before bed! We sure will sleep well in our new PJs, we hope you have a good night too!
And Mami and Daddy didn't have the heart to fight me on it, so they let me wear them. Even with my pretty dress. Yea, that's right. You know it. (Unfortunately I could'nt really walk in them, so I doubt I'll be wearing them much more.)
Sometimes, Mami and Daddy have had such a long hard day that bathing me and Resli can be overwhelming. So I've decided I can help out by washing Resli's hair. First, you need the shampoo. Then you rub it all around (and pull her hair a little...) And then rinse! What a big help I am, don't you think?
And it's one I don't have a lot of, at least not when it comes to meal time. Daddy, can you help me into my high chair please? Daddy? Where are you? (Mami says to please wait for Daddy and not do what I'm thinking of doing.) MmmmHmmm? You think I'm just going to sit here and wait? Not when there's food coming. Nah ah. Up I go. (OK, nobody tell her that the food wasn't ready yet anyway! At least she loves eating!)
In spite of Mami's best efforts and cleaning (and, um, hiding) our stuff, we found costumes! Resli dressed as a princess and I dressed as my Halloween monkey, and there was great rejoicing. We had to check ourselves out in the mirror because we thought we looked so cute. And now come on everyone, put your hands out, and let's do the monkey dance! Go Lela. Go Lela.
