More and more words!

I know the names of so many body parts, in English and in Spanish! Watch me!

I love my daddy

My daddy and I have so much fun together.
I love to give him hugs.

I often ask him where his hair is!

Do you think we look alike?

Another visit to see Dr. Grooms

Yesterday Resli and I both got to go see our pediatrician - me for my 15 month check-up and Resli for her 4 year old check up. As usual, we entertained ourselves in our own unique way.
For example, Resli played with Mami's phone and her crown, and I took my diaper off.

I also went over some notes with Mami.

Oops, what's that on the floor?!?

Resli, you might not want to walk over here in your bare feet...
Oh, but by the way, Resli and I are both as healthy as can be! She's at about 45th %ile for height and weight, and I'm about 85th for height and 75th for weight. We both got shots, but we got over it quickly. All in all, a pretty successful visit (excluding the incident on the floor of course)!

A message for cousin Atticus

In the mail the other day we received a great photo announcement about my cousin Atticus' birth. I absolutely LOVED it! I waved it around and yelled "Baby! Baby! Baby!" over and over, so mami got out the camera. Of course, then I refused to say "Baby" again. But I do have a short message for my cousin:

I can't wait to meet you, Atticus!
Love,
Lela

Exercising my vocabulary

I'm getting better at communicating every day - look and see!

Dr. Ward to the living room STAT!

Resli opened her birthday present from Nana a day early (don't worry, she had permission to do so). It was a doctor's kit and a white doctor's jacket that says "Dr. Ward"!!! By some genetic flaw inherent in Resli's biology, she immediately responded to that gift by wanting to play the patient. Yea, right... NOT ME! I put on her jacket and decided I could be Dr. Ward!

There's a stethoscope too, and it also fit me just fine. (Resli kept calling it the doctoscope, which I guess makes sense too.)

Then I had to 'check' my patient. She was 'very ill' as she said. I took her blood pressure.

And told her to get some rest and call me in the morning.
I'm off to go find someone who wants a shot!

Thanks, Nana (from both of us)!

It's just not the same without Daddy

I miss Daddy a lot, things just aren't the same without him. I couldn't even get excited about dinner tonight.

Nor did the pacifier do much to really calm me down.

The only thing that drew even half a smile was the mention of Daddy:

Come home soon, Daddy, we need you!
And Mami's about had it with all my whining! :)

We miss you already, Daddy!

Hi Daddy! I wanted to say "hi" and "bye" to you and blow you a kiss. But I also wanted to show you how I can feed myself with a fork! Maybe I've been doing this for a long time but you never noticed before - I look pretty good at it, don't I?

I miss you Daddy. Muah!

Poor Granddaddy!

Granddaddy fell down yesterday and broke his collarbone! We felt so sorry for him that we stopped by their house to give him kisses.

(I hate to think how much he actually had to maneuver to receive our hugs and kisses, ouch!)
Don't worry, Grandma got some loving too.

Granddaddy, we hope you feel better soon!

Fun outdoors

It's been a little chilly here, but it's still nice enough to have some fun in the fresh air every now and then. I just loving going outdoors!

And Daddy does too. His favorite game is to make me fly. I like it, it's sort of fun.

But the one who really loves it is Resli!
